ROARING 1920s EXHIBIT JOSEPH BRANT MUSEUM

COSTUME EXHIBIT UPDATE AT THE JOSEPH BRANT MUSEUM!

The Crazy Years: The Fashion Renaissance of the Roaring 1920s
On exhibition at Joseph Brant Museum

The Joseph Brant Museum’s new costume exhibition, The Crazy Years: The Fashion Renaissance of the Roaring 1920s has been met with wonderful reviews by visitors. For the winter season, the exhibit was enhanced with winter fashions to show the full range of attire from this important period in women’s fashions.

The exhibition features several dresses from the Eileen Collard Costume Collection, as well as hats, shoes, purses and other accessories popular at that time.  A media component showcases images and music from the era, visually highlighting a decade recovering from the First World War and embracing  a new-found freedom and attitude that included  the women’s rights movement, the jazz era and the influence of Black Culture.
