NEW COSTUME EXHIBIT AT JOSEPH BRANT MUSEUM
The Crazy Years: The Fashion Renaissance of the Roaring 1920s
The Joseph Brant Museum is excited to announce the opening of its new costume exhibition, The Crazy Years: The Fashion Renaissance of the Roaring 1920s. Enjoy spectacular examples of 1920s fashion while learning about the social and cultural changes that were occurring at the same time.
The exhibition features several dresses from the Eileen Collard Costume Collection, as well as hats, shoes, purses and other accessories popular at that time. A media component showcases images and music from the era, visually highlighting a decade recovering from the First World War and embracing a new-found freedom and attitude that included the women’s rights movement, the jazz era and the influence of Black Culture.
Joseph Brant Museum is open Tuesday-Friday from 10-4:30, and Sunday afternoons from 1-4:30. Please note that admission rates have changed slightly due to the HST. For more information, visit website: www.museumsofburlington.com.
