BATA SHOE MUSEUM FOUNDER’S LECTURE

The Second Annual Founder’s Lecture 2012 will be AT MY FEET: SUGGESTION AND CONTRADICTION IN THE LANGUAGE OF SHOES. His current interest is the Orthodox Christian rock-cut and monolithic churches found in Ethiopia. His presentation will focus on the great card-woven church hangings with particular reference to the so-called Gondar hanging, a ROM treasure.
